Product Launch Manufacturing Engineer

Launch new products and support the product once it is transferred to production, ensuring processes run trouble-free to build a quality product in the required amount of time by meeting all QCT targets agreed upon during the process development phase, using MKS and Gate Management as tools to keep updated progress and documentation of the project; Provide manufacturing input to new and existing products and following the escalation process if design for manufacturability is at risk using IQ-FMEA to develop the Process Failure Mode Effects Analysus and PDM to consult technical documents of the product; Create equipment specifications for new products to meet the requirements of cost and quality for the new products; Coordinate the acquisition of the new equipment in coordination with purchasing, and following the corporate guidelines for the design of the new equipment and in coordination with the MRO buyer; Coordinate, secure, and control the manufacturing budget allocated for the projects ; Manage the new product introduction in the manufacturing plant with all the departments, as an extension of the development project manager; Create all SAP required steps for the manufacturing of the part, such as BOM, Routing, and Production Versions using PEM - SAP transactions; Direct the manufacturing side of engineering changes to the product and processes before and after SOP; Provide technical leadership to production and manufacturing during the product introduction and post launch; Establish and maintain process instructions and documentation so operators have good instructions to build a quality product; Develop and document training for manufacturing equipment and processes to ensure operators are properly trained to produce product, responsible for the initial training to the initial production team; Develop and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement actions to build a quality product at lowest possible cost; Establish and implement optimal processes to ensure the manufacturing of quality products; Develop line balancing and line layout to ensure good process flow; and Develop corrective action and preventative actions from document findings and fixes using Machine Process Capability and MTM.

Salary: $61,568 per year
Education: Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree).
Training: None
Experience: Three (3) years in the position above, as a Project Launching Leader, Manufacturing Engineer, or in a related occupation.
Experience must include work with IQ-FMEA, PDM, MKS, Gate Management, Machine Process Capability, and MTM.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
